Sunday 9:30 am
Holy Communion with Kids@Church at Christ Church, West Goulburn
The service on Sundays at 9:30 am is an Anglican family service with a mixture of traditional and more contemporary songs. A band, comprised of a keyboard, guitars, saxaphone and trumpet, plays on the first and third Sundays of the month and the organ is played on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. The service usually follows the Second Order of Holy Communion from ‘A Prayer Book for Australia’. Bible readings follow the Revised Common Lectionary. There is a clear emphasis on exploring what God’s Word mean and how that applies to our lives today. This service is followed by morning tea in the Parish Hall.
Children are welcome at this service. During the Bible readings and sermon the children participate in an age appropriate programme called Kids@Church which meets in their own dedicated room nearby. They return during Communion and share what they have learnt in a ‘Show and Tell’ time towards the end of the service.
On the fifth Sunday of the month we gather together as a parish at 9:30 am for Cafe Church in the Parish Hall, a more relaxed and less formal service to which we can invite family and friends.
